Bidragsfuskare i England åkte dit - fruns päls avslöjade dom



He claimed to be a desperate asylum seeker living in abject poverty.

Unfortunately for Iranian Massoud Montazery, 29, his wife's luxurious fur coat and their fleet of lavish cars, including an X-type Jaguar and a Mercedes, was something of a giveaway.

So was the £500,000 in his two bank accounts.

Montazery, his wife and child arrived at Manchester Airport in August 2001 claiming they had fled Iran for a fresh start in the UK.

They reported to immigration officers in Liverpool, declared themselves destitute and demanded asylum.

Over the next few years, they were to receive thousands of pounds in benefits to pay for home and amenities bills - despite having their applications to stay rejected twice.
